8 Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas

Sharing is caring!

We can all agree on one thing…the holiday season doesn’t need to get any more stressful.  So it’s totally understandable if you buy a few rolls of wrapping paper and wrap everything you purchase in them.  Heck, that’s what I’ve done every year of my life.  Until I met my husband.  Funny, huh?  My husband LOVES to wrap his gifts meticulously, taking forever to make sure every piece of tape is cleverly hidden and the whole wrapping job looks impeccable, like it came from the Top Wrapping Elf at the North Pole.

So if you are thus inspired this year to make your gifts have that extra something special, here are some pretty packaging options for you to consider:

I love the vintage retro look of these poms!  They are easy to create with some yarn.  @Total Art Soul.

I seriously have to try making my own gift wrap bows…seriously how cute are these?  @For the Love.

This is simple and well executed.  Wrapped presents in newspaper, bakers twine, and monogrammed tags.  Pretty easy, environmentally-friendly, and super cute. @The Crafting Chicks

This tutorial will show you how to make your own envelope using cardstock.  I love this idea for gift cards or personal gifts like a homemade DVD or whatever.  @ScrapnGal

I know this bag says Valentine’s Day but I love the concept:  This tutorial will show you how to put a brown paper bag through your printer to get a custom brown bag! @DesignSponge

Another cute Monogram label idea…use book pages!  It makes such a huge statement.  (Sad that she used a Harry Potter book for this one tho!) @OlderandWisor

These tiny packages are to die for.  I think they are matchboxes and use a fabric covered button with a rubber band.  Aack!  So cute.  @MarthaStewart

And to keep things really simple, get out your stamping kit and stamp the names right onto brown packaging paper, top with a pretty ribbon.  @thehaystackneedleonline

Thanks Rachel! Nope–not yet. Having contractions but nothing timeable or too painful. Sigh!

  2. Wow OMG those are lovely! Love the first one with the poms! I got to try that! Well it sounds like baby is close to coming if your feeling some contractions, or maybe I know nothing about babies. I hope everything goes well for you! You and your family are in my prayers!
