Which Fabrics Are Your Fave?

Sharing is caring!

Miss E is nearly four months now.  My hubby is graduating in two months.  The end of an era is on the horizon and another era is arising.  Sound like I’m preparing to take over the world, like Scar from Lion King (or is it “Scarf” as Will says–Scar’s lesser known and  fabulous brother.)

In a way I am–preparing to take on the world.  I am finally in a place where I can move forward with my business, and move forward it shall.  But I’m not making any announcements today, I just want to get your opinions.  It’s seriously so awesome to have this perfect sampling population right at my fingertips–literally.

Awhile ago I put together these fabric swatch boards.  Look them over and tell me which three boards are your favorite.  And if you have time, you could even tell me which specific fabrics you would pick for a puff quilt.

#1:  BROWN/GREEN/AQUA

#2:  GRAY/YELLOW/NAVY

#3:  GRAY/YELLOW/BLACK

#4:  GRAY/YELLOW/AQUA

#5:  GRAY/RED/NAVY

#6:  RED/AQUA/CREAM

#7:  PINK/BROWN/GREEN

#8:  PINK/BROWN/AQUA

#9:  PINK/YELLOW/AQUA

#10:  PALE PINK/BROWN/GREEN

#11:  ORANGE/GREEN/AQUA

#12:  GRAY/GREEN/AQUA

WHEW! I know that was a lot to digest but take your time and think about it. Your feedback is very important to me!!

  1. I like the gray green aqua and brown green aqua. My favorite fabric of them all is fabric K with the gradient gray dots. I really strongly dislike the blue/red/pink flower pattern (fabric E in the red yellow navy board)…but that’s just me, you know how I roll, dots and stripes and moroccan tiles haha. 🙂 I think most of them are pretty cute, but i am so obsessed with that fabric K! P.S. Thank you for putting the production license on your store site. I just bought it and now I will never feel guilty for making my friend a puff quilt. Working on a brown/green/cream/blue one right now. 🙂 So fun!

    #2, 4, 8, and 12 Stand out to me!

    Love F in 2+4
    Love C in 4+8+12

Beautiful choices! I was just searching fabrics for a baby quilt for my friend who has a very modern style. I personally would make every baby quilt out of 30’s rep fabric but I knew that was not her style so I started to search the web. I found everything grey to be the new “in” thing with decorating nursery’s. I picked an awesome collection with pink and grey and am now obsessed with pastels and grey and want to make more quilts like it.

  3. Vicky Jean-Louis says:

Definitely RED/AQUA/CREAM!!!!!!! I bought your rag puff tutorial and I’m planning on doing a red-teal combination for my future baby that’s on its way!

  4. They all are excellent color palettes!
    I love #1 and #12 for a boy.. only I wouldn’t use the scrolly prints C & L.. 🙂
    I love #5 and #6 for a girl!
and I also love #10 for a girl, except I would switch out the brown for gray tones instead.. I am loving gray more than brown lately 🙂

  5. I favor #2, #5 & #6! (They’re all great combos, though. Some I would’ve never thought of myself!)

I love all the chevrons and dots, along with A & F in #10.

  6. You are responsible for taking the last 30 minutes of my time… 🙂 I love the fabrics. After much thought I pick #2 b,k,l
#5 and 6 are fun too.
Honestly, I could come back later today and spend the same amount of time and pick another set of fabrics. They are all fabulous!

  7. I love the gray, yellow, navy combo. I was actually really surprised that it was my favorite, but they’re all gorgeous fabrics that look awesome together!

  8. #1. I’d pick B, D, E, J, K, L. I’m a huge fan of brown and green. They’re all pretty and fun though.

  9. 2, 5, & 11 are my favorites.

  10. Orange, Green, Aqua

A lot of those combinations were fabulous and caught my eye, but that one really jumped out at me!

  11. Gray/yellow/Navy. A lot of the other ones were nice, but this one just made me smile.

  12. #2, 11, and 12 are my favorites. Regarding, #2–yellow and navy are such a great combination and I feel like you don’t see that a lot out there right now.

  13. I have been searching and searching for a red/aqua combo for my toddler girl. There is NOTHING out there in those colors! I vote for #6!

  14. Number 5 and 6 are my top picks. I love them both. If I were making it I would not do the chevron print but that is just my preference. I love all the other fabrics.

  15. Allison C says:

Love #4! What is the faded gray dot print?

    1. Heidi @ Honeybear Lane says:

It’s an ombre dot print by Riley Blake, brand spankin new!

  16. #10, #8, #6

Can’t wait to see what you’re up to!

  17. Although I’m drawn to #2 personally, I’m going w/ #9. (I have “baby girl” on the mind since I’m due next Wednesday.)

    Specifically, I’d choose A, B, C, E, F, G, H, I, K

  18. Shirley Lupton says:

I would choose #5, #5 and #5. Sorry but I really love the colors in that group. Thanks for the post and I will look forward to your secret.

  19. #11…orange green and aqua perfect soothing summer colors…..but then again it also depends on what occassion you are making a puff quilt for…..

  20. OMG I’m loving #2 and #6! I literally can’t decide between the two of these! Are you using these for puff quilts cuz OMG they would look so stinking awesome!!! Of course if these aren’t for puff quilts then I’m just dying of curiosity! Can’t wait to see which one’s win and what your working on. 🙂

  21. I love #2, #4, & #9. But I really like them all. I just tend to gravitate towards less pastels.

I have to ask, #9-C…I love the scroll fabric in the different fabrics and all the different colors you use. Who’s is it?

Love the new line. Good luck. 🙂

  22. I love them all, and I need to know where to get these fabrics!!

  23. Paula Chaffin says:

I just love the Red/Aqua/Cream and the Grey/Navy/Red

  24. I’m loving #2 & #9. But they are all great.

Can I ask where 9C comes from? I love the scrolly look. Love the fabrics. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. 🙂

    1. Heidi @ Honeybear Lane says:

Its from the Ruby collection, you can find it at Skye Reve Fabrics.

  25. I am one who has a horrible time making a decision so I had to take out all those I wasn’t fond of especially and that left me with all those I did like. Then I put all those in order by preference, with one comment; while the top one I listed is my favorite, I’d rather it be something other than cream, maybe even a snow white. I can’t place why I think that other than possibly the other colors are just so ‘fresh’ looking and cream really doesn’t fall into that category in my mind. I hope that makes sense to you.

Here are my choices by order of my preference:
    #6: RED/AQUA/CREAM
    #9: PINK/YELLOW/AQUA
    #5: GRAY/RED/NAVY
    #2: GRAY/YELLOW/NAVY
    #8: PINK/BROWN/AQUA

  26. I love #4, #11, and #12 and I am diggin’ on the ombre dot print. Beautiful picks!
Hope I’ll see one of these combos in a puff quilt soon!
    Jamie

  27. #5 — B, C, D, F — with solid cream backing

  28. I love #4, #11, #12!!! I am pregnant and due with a little one in May. I am using the chevron print, which I am in love with, for the bumpers and dying over these puff quilts you create!!!! What fun colors and pallets of fabric!!!

  29. Well, that was a challenge! Finally narrowed it down to #3, #10, and #12–#12 being my favorite of all. Very difficult decision. Hopefully one of these will be adorning my sewing room very soon–love them all!! Thank you!!

  30. Red,aqua,cream all the way!Love it….

  31. My vote is for #1 !!! I am planning a wedding and my colors are Chocolate Brown with Lime Green and Aqua Blue highlights. If you make a Queen sized quilt with those colors I’ll buy it!!!

  32. I’m liking the red/aqua/cream combo – it’s very fresh and modern. It just jumps out at me!

  33. Gray, yellow, and aqua. I feel like the gray / yellow combo has been around a while but I still love it.

  34. Shera Taylor says:

I love the grey yellow navy, and I think that combo is perfect for the boys nursery. I will steal it and put it on my pinboard 🙂

  35. 12, 10, 5, 6. They are all gorgeous but those are my faves! 12 is what I have been looking for as far as “manly” prints for my hubby. He’s a sailor and I wanted to try to make him a quilt!

  36. They’re all so beautiful! I absolutely adore #12.

Any chance you could put up a listing for each of the fabrics on all of these swatches so that we could go out and purchase for our own projects as well? I have such a hard time finding places to get these beautiful prints.

  37. I know this post is a bit old, but what fabric is F in #6? I love it! I’m doing my kitchen in those colors and it would be perfect.

  38. I just need an option for purple and my order would be placed! I need turquoise, purple and gray for my daughter’s nursery!
