20 Things for Postpartum Recovery

Sharing is caring!

  •  Ear plugs and eye mask.  And maybe a fan too.  The hospital is not the easiest place to get sleep and it’s so important to get some really good sleep right away.
  • Snacks.  You don’t want to have to live off the hospital crackers in between meals, especially when your body needs that recovery.  Pack a few of your favorite snacks to have handy (also helpful if other children visit and are hungry!)
  • Good camera.  This is kind of turning into a hospital packing list but those moments right after birth are so essential for capturing good photos of your baby.
  • That’s my best list of essentials for postpartum recovery.  Having a baby is one of the most wonderful things that can happen, but also the hardest.  And hard things can be easier with preparation.  So use the last few weeks of pregnancy to pull this stuff together and you will be so much better off!  Good luck!

    1. These are amazing tips! I am 8 months pregnant with my first and I’m pretty much freaking out about the entire process. I would have never thought about bringing half of these items but the are definitely going in the “MY WATER BROKE” bag. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I think you always freak out a little bit and every time is a different experience. But good luck!
