The Yellow Pages App

Sharing is caring!

Find YP on Facebook and Twitter!

So I’m still getting settled in here, to my new home.  It’s still in the GIGANTIC mess stage, where things are floating around still figuring out where they want to be.  My hubby had to start his new job last Monday and hasn’t had any spare time to help unpack or put things back together.  So yes, it’s chaos.  And I’m exhausted!  But I’m also excited about my new place.  Hopefully after this week things will look much more put together and I’ll show you some pics.

Since I’m in a new-ish area, I downloaded the YP app.  [YP=Yellow Pages]

It’s a handy little app that allows me to easily look up restaurants and other places and read reviews.  I even added a few of my own reviews.  I reviewed 10 restaurants near me:  In and Out, Costa Vida, Wingers, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Thanksgiving Point Grille, Del Taco, Blue Lemon, Rubio’s, and Paradise Bakery.    Most of these are places that I really like and also mainstream restaurants, so I based a lot of my review on the atmosphere and ambiance.  I wrote these reviews from my iphone so anyone with a smart phone can do it at anytime!

I reviewed Del Taco because it is really close to my house and because of the awesome Taco Tuesday deal, we go there a lot.  It’s in a really convenient location too, right off the freeway!

The YP app is also nice because when you go to search a restaurant, it pulls up the entire menu.  That’s so great!  One time I was really craving pulled pork, so I looked it up on the YP app and found it at Texas Roadhouse.  I also though that I would use this feature while waiting for a table so I could know what to order once seated at my table.

It has some other handy features, like the Lowest Gas Price finder.  Obviously–helps you find the lowest price of gas nearest to you!  And that’s super nice with today’s high gas prices.  I actually just used this feature today and I discovered that the gas station that is closest to me is actually a good 25 cents a gallon MORE than other stations.

Another feature I like is the “Deals” feature.  You just click it and it shows you the businesses that are having currents deals or specials.  Hey highlights at Fantastic Sames for only $25!

So if you have a smart phone, go ahead–download the free YP app.  Very helpful and very quick!
