Disney Imagicademy Party

mickey mouse party

We had a Disney Imagicademy party last week to celebrate the launch of Disney's new app Mickey's Magical Math World!  I invited nearly all of my 6-year-old's friends and I think we ended up with almost 20 kids at my house.  It was insanity!  But so much fun. I set up the table, complete with Disney themed snacks and cute Disney themed snack names.  "Goofy Grapes" and "Hot Diggety Dogs"..."Minnie Mix" and "Cheese and Quackers" and more.  To … [Read more...]

Dash and Dot Robots Review

playing with dot

My kids got the Dash and Dot Robots for Christmas and it's been a big hit!  (Read this introductory post to refresh your memory about them.)  So far, it's kind of like having a pet.  Only way easier to take care of!  But it's been kind of like training a dog to do tricks. I took some videos so you can see just exactly what we've been doing... This toy is such a great toy for teaching kids to learn how to program and code.  It's a … [Read more...]

Toca Kitchen 2 Party

This post is sponsored by Mom it Forward and Toca Boca, and I am part of the Mom it Forward Blogger Network. All opinions are my own. Are you familiar with the Toca Boca apps?  They are the most adorable little games for kids that I seriously have played, by myself, for hours.  They are free-range creativity, they just let you do whatever. So with the release of the brand new Toca Kitchen 2 app, we thought it would be fun to bring the … [Read more...]

We recently … [Read more...]

DIY Play Food Crates

wood play food crate

Last year we gave my daughter a play kitchen.  You know, the KidCraft Vintage Kitchen--it seems to be the hot play kitchen to buy these days.  I love it because it's so cute while not being plastic and bulky.  It feels high quality and looks like real kitchens.  And the white one is gender-neutral and well, I have a thing for white kitchens.  Not gonna lie though, it was a beast to put together. Anyway, we also gave her some play food, some of … [Read more...]

kidscraft

My kids (and I) both get excited for Halloween way too early.  We are looking forward to it in August, and yes--I did buy their costumes then!  I figured that they might as well have them for dress-ups until the big day. But now that Halloween is nearly two weeks away, our excitement is turning anxious--just hurry up and get here already!  I love this compilation of Halloween kids crafts for ideas of how to keep your kids entertained until the … [Read more...]

Kids Halloween Party Ideas

halloween party 7

Last week I threw a Halloween party for some neighborhood kids.  (That's the life of a blogger--do everything way earlier than normal.)  It was a blast--despite a little hiccup from the weather. Early Halloween parties always work out well for me because I get a much higher attendance when I don't have to compete for other Halloween activities.  And aren't your kids already so excited for Halloween??  So get ready for some fun kids … [Read more...]

Six Ways to Use Shelf Liner When Living With Kids

shelf liner as a placemat

This post brought to you by Duck Brand. All opinions are 100% mine. Sometimes I pretend that I'm an adult. Wait no--I AM an adult. But often when I look around my house I think "Why is my house so messy? I didn't make that mess. Those aren't my things." It's obvious that I live with kids. When you live with kids, your life is taken over by them. And so are the messes. I try my hardest to have a clean and beautiful home, but after cleaning up … [Read more...]
