Pallet Sports Medal Display

It's nearly time for fall soccer!  I love/hate this season.  I love going to the games and seeing my kids play and seeing my friends cheering for their own kids.  But sometimes it's cold or rainy and I don't love it as much then.  And at the end of the season I'm ready for it to be done.  But I really do love the feeling my kids have after they play, feeling good about themselves and knowing they are getting better. We've competed in … [Read more...]

LeapPad Platinum Review

We recently received the new LeapPad Platinum from LeapFrog.  We've been working with LeapFrog for years and last year I visited their headquarters and learned about the process of how they develop games and products. The visit made a big impression on me, I wish everyone could have seen that side of LeapFrog.  They put in so much time and energy into each product and truly try to make it as educational as possible, while still being fun.  So … [Read more...]

Built in Indoor Playhouse

indoor playhouse built in

I am lucky that one of my good friends built a house up the street from us.  And that she does hair for a living.  So we decided to make a little trade--I would help her with DIY projects and she would do my hair for free.  Win win!  Our first DIY project turned out so stinkin' adorable that I had to share it--it's a built in Indoor Playhouse! Isn't that amazing?!  First of all, I take zero credit for the amazing paint job.  That tree and … [Read more...]

Disney Imagicademy Party

mickey mouse party

We had a Disney Imagicademy party last week to celebrate the launch of Disney's new app Mickey's Magical Math World!  I invited nearly all of my 6-year-old's friends and I think we ended up with almost 20 kids at my house.  It was insanity!  But so much fun. I set up the table, complete with Disney themed snacks and cute Disney themed snack names.  "Goofy Grapes" and "Hot Diggety Dogs"..."Minnie Mix" and "Cheese and Quackers" and more.  To … [Read more...]

Dash and Dot Robots Review

playing with dot

My kids got the Dash and Dot Robots for Christmas and it's been a big hit!  (Read this introductory post to refresh your memory about them.)  So far, it's kind of like having a pet.  Only way easier to take care of!  But it's been kind of like training a dog to do tricks. I took some videos so you can see just exactly what we've been doing... This toy is such a great toy for teaching kids to learn how to program and code.  It's a … [Read more...]
