Brain Dump

Sharing is caring!

I’ve had so many thoughts this week, I just have to get them out…so here you go.  My brain dump.

So…Project Runway was on last night, and I was pretty confused (because I haven’t watched every episode.)  Why does everyone hate Michael C so much?  I kind of felt bad for him at the end.  And seriously, what was Peach thinking with that hideous green ruffle?

Speaking of Ruffles, I’ve been missing Disney from Ruffles and Stuff lately.  I’ve gone back and read some of her old posts and remembered what a gem she was in Blogland.  She was so honest and so incredibly creative.  She had such great taste and I loved her beautiful photos.  Seemed like every picture she took made you picture a beautiful summer day, right as the sun is sitting low in the sky.  And I still wonder why she stopped blogging (although I know how tiring it is coming up with new posts every day.)  She’s such an interesting character…I think someone should make a movie about her, a la Julie & Julia

This week has been majorly stress-filled.  It seems like everything that could go wrong did and any situation that could have been made a little harder, did.  Okay, I’m exaggerating…a little.  The good news is that my baby learned to jump in his bouncer and jumped his little heart out for several hours, until he just passed out in it.  Just slept right there, in the jumperoo.

Living in an apartment sucks.  It wouldn’t be so bad if our complex didn’t have Communist management.  They recently decided to completely re-do the parking situation, so our spot (which wasn’t super close to begin with) is way further away.  And when you’re herding a toddler and carrying a baby, a giant diaper bag, and whatever else (like reusable grocery bags stuffed with empty water bottles for recycling), every step further to the car is superbly obnoxious.

Okay, that’s enough of that.  I got a babysitter lined up for Saturday and it’s Labor Day weekend.  Yay!

Aw, I hope your week gets better. I honestly hate mandatory parking. Its so dumb.
Take care and my thoughts are with you for the rest of the week.
    Here's to a stress-free weekend!

  2. I miss Disney too! I also feel your pain on the parking situation and a Communist management for apartments.

  3. Awe I know how that goes with parking. We had the same problem when we lived in an apartment. I am glad our townhouse has 2 reserved spots.

I don't know why everyone hates Michael C because I think he's pretty good! I think what the designers don't like is he doesn't do the fundamentals 'correctly'…but that's just snobby in my opinion. It reminds me of how certain quilters will turn their nose up at 'Wonky log cabins' or using solids rather than tone-on-tones.

  4. This is unrelated but I wanted you to know.. I took my nearly completed puff quilt to Joann's the other day to choose a border fabric and I had 3 people comment on how cute it was. Then when I was getting fabric cut the lady cutting it asked me if I was you (and if I lived in Mesa) because she must see you in there with your puff quilts too. I said "No, but I got the idea from her!" and told her about your great tutorial and shop. Then she asked me for your web address and I told her. I looked around and seriously 4 or 5 other ladies whipped out there pens and started jotting it down. I think you may have a few more readers here soon!

  5. YAY for babysitters!!! Have a nice weekend!

  6. You know, I miss Ruffles & Stuff, too! I had only started reading her when she had to leave. Hope your week gets better!

Project Runway is PHENOMENAL. So go catch up on Lifetime's website, cause last night's show was just whatever. I don't know why they all hate Michael C so much, but it makes for some good drama. Hate Ivy, Love/hate Gretchen, Love Valerie and Mondo and Christopher. Sad to see Peach leave, but she sucked. I love love this show. Go get hooked.
