Sometimes Life…

Sharing is caring!

“Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond
measure.”

                                                                    -Marianne Williamson

It’s the end of another week.  A hard week for me, which seems to be coming a trend.  But this quote is something that rings so true for me.  I love my work, so much, exhausting as it is.  And I love to dream about where it could take me someday.  I know that my own big dreams, at least for the time being, are just dreams.  Wouldn’t it be so awesome to make at least one of my dreams come to fruition?

But.  But what?  But I need to be a mom first, a wife first.  I need to take care of myself physically.  I need to make sure the house stays clean and orderly enough that it doesn’t implode.  And there are a thousand other things.  So I keep reminding myself of this quote to keep me going towards those dreams, even if I can only catch a glimpse from time to time.

Have a great weekend!  I love you guys!

  1. Thanks for sharing. I think a lot of times we forget what is most important in our life. Family and being a good mother and wife.
I agree, we still need to dream. What fun would life be without dreaming?

yes but to be the best mom and wife you need to be all that you can be. Why can't you be both?

  3. I have similar dreams. When I get too caught up in 'em, I remind myself, "first things first." I think the others will come according to the Lord's will. I think we're rewarded for keeping first things first, beyond the dreams we had in the first place.

Good for you. I go through these exact thoughts a whole lot of the time. I look at my sewing table, my quilting 'want to do list', and I just sigh because right now there isn't a lot of time for it…unless I stay up late at night. Then, I am not rested for my family.

Then, all of sudden…something happens. It snaps you into reality and what is important. Last Friday my husband had a stroke. He is ok, and back to work today, but it was a reality check for all of us! (We have a 9 month old for goodness sake!)

You just remember your quote and enjoy that family…and your craft when you can!
