A Child’s Prayer Printable

Sharing is caring!

Today is Sunday and I went to church, as I usually do.  For those who may not know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  In my church, most of the members hold ‘callings’ which is a way for you to serve in the church, whether you teach Sunday School or work on a committee, or supervise the youth groups.  My calling right now is to play the piano for the Primary (where the kids under 12 go after the first hour.)

I’m really used to having calling that have me playing the piano.  When you are in a minority of people who can play the piano, you usually do it a lot.  But I have really enjoyed playing the piano for the Primary.  There is something so sweet and innocent about the songs they sing and the messages contained in the lyrics are very simple and spiritual.  I always feel very close to God when I hear them sing.

I feel particularly blessed and happy today because I feel like a couple of my prayers have been answered this week.  So today when the children sang a song called “A Child’s Prayer,” I got a little choked up.  I want to share the song with you….

This is a printable image, and you are free to take it from this site and use it for non-commercial purposes.  I think it would be a great addition to your child’s room, to remind him or her that they can pray whenever they want to feel close to God.  I have also made the song available in these two other colors:

By the way, If you have any questions about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I would be happy to answer them as best I can.

  1. Love that song! Our kids are singing that in the primary program in a couple of weeks and it is definitely one of the favs! I am the primary chorister and seem to have had the calling several times now as well. I wouldn’t trade primary for anything!

  2. I think that’ll probably be the best part of having a calling in the Primary for me, singing those songs and thinking of the simple gospel principles involved.

That’s a tender mercy, after those difficult times with Will from last month. You can see that Heavenly Father is watching out for you.
