Giving Thanks: Pregnancy

Sharing is caring!

I am 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant.  I am tired, crampy, and uncomfortable.  Every morning I wake up sad, thinking, “I’m still pregnant.”

But next week is Thanksgiving and it makes me consider all that I have to be thankful for.

I’m thankful that I’m 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant.  It’s a tremendous blessing to be able to carry a baby full term.

I’m thankful that I AM pregnant.  It is very difficult and sometimes impossible for many women to get pregnant.

I’m thankful that I have had a healthy and relatively easy pregnant.  Because some women are on bed rest for months or constantly monitored.

I’m thankful that I am having my third healthy baby.

I’m thankful that I’m having a baby girl!

And I’m mostly thankful that she will be here in my arms in a few short days.

I miss my hair.

I’m thankful to all my blogger friends who will be guest posting for me for the next six weeks!

(I will still post once in awhile–I can’t stay away)

And you better believe I’m having an awesome Black Friday sale in my shop!!

Oh and PS–it’s the LAST DAY to enter all the Handmade Holidays Giveaways!!

  1. I know the last week of pregnancy sucks big time! Just remember, the first part of your sentence is the most important point in this blog: “Every morning I wake up.” Period. There’s something to be grateful for, right? 🙂 It’s so nice to hear you having such a positive attitude this close to the end. I don’t think I was that positive! 😉

Thanks Lauren—the hardest part is the endless waiting!

  2. I totally understand! I used to tell my husband that I didn’t know what I wanted more…to hold my new baby or to be NOT PREGNANT ANYMORE!! haha It’s so wonderful and so hard, but SO worth it! I had two difficult pregnancies, but would do them all over again if I had too! Babies are such an amazing blessing! I will be thinking about you in the coming days! Good luck and Congratulations!

  3. Can’t wait to hear about that little girl. Good luck and best wishes for a smooth and short delivery and a healthy baby.

Thank Jennifer–I will be sure to write about it.

  4. Hang in there – soon all the waiting will be worth the daily joy!

Thanks Natalie! This picture is actually about a month old…my tummy is far more ginormous now!

  5. Good luck, Mama! I hope everything goes well! I was induced almost a week after my due date so I totally feel your pain!

    Can’t wait to meet her!
