If you visit my site, you will find tutorials and projects that are mostly DIY and sewing. I’ve been remodeling/redecorating my house, so most of my projects have been related to that, but I do venture out in other areas – like paper crafting. Pretty much I just love to create!

I am thrilled to be here with you today while Heidi takes some well-deserved time off to snuggle her sweet little angel.

As I mentioned before, I am redoing most of the rooms in my house. One of them is my 2-year old son’s room, which is sports themed. I thought it would be fun to make a scoreboard for his room.

But not just any scoreboard. This one is a…

My son was born at 1:02 p.m (so 13:02 military time) on June 14, 2009 (6-14-09).

The white dots are actually not white, but are frosted glass vinyl colored so in real life they don’t stand out as much. Hopefully I can get a better picture eventually, but for now I hope you get the idea.

I started out with a large piece of cardboard (39”x 28”), some black butcher paper, Mod Podge, and spray adhesive (not pictured).

Supplies

I used the spray adhesive to glue the paper to the cardboard, then clipped the corners like so.

Corners

Still working with the spray adhesive, I folded the excess paper over and glued it to the back, so I had the entire things covered.

Black-covered

Since I wanted to be able to wipe off any dust this might collect hanging up on the wall, I covered the entire things with a coat of Mod Podge to seal and protect it.

After that, I turned to my Silhouette and cut out all the vinyl.

The font for the numbers is Scoreboard.

I got my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl, which is hands-down the best place to get vinyl (both quality and price). It’s my absolute favorite and I don’t like to use any other kind of vinyl.

Fun right?

I love how it turned out and how perfectly it goes in the room!

I hope you will all come visit me over at Sew Dang Cute Crafts.

Thanks for having me Heidi!
