Glittery Ornament Decor with Tulip Shimmer

Sharing is caring!

The final review of 2011–Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheets and Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Fabric Paint!

I was so excited to use these products when they came to me in that neat little box.  Who doesn’t love glitter??  And using them could not be easier.  You can cut them with scissors or a craft cutter…I really want to test these sheets out in my Silhouette.

Here’s what I made:  Glitter Ornament Wall Decor.

The How To:

Step 1:  I traced large circles on the back of the glitter transfer sheets.  And I cut out some designs to go on the ornaments.

Step 2:  I used the Aleene’s glue strips to tack down some ribbons of different lengths.  Then I put the canvas covered cardboard in my glassless frames.

Step 3:  I placed the ornaments on my white canvas and peeled off the top.  You have to be careful here, sometimes the glittery part likes to come off with it (there’s that learning curve for ya!)

Step 3:  Iron them on (using parchment paper in between)

Step 4:  Hot glue ribbons on the top.

Notes:

Dont use the Aleene’s adhesives for the ribbon because they showed through the ribbon.

Maybe should have done 3 ornaments per frame in a larger size with some variance.

Don’t try to iron on the glitter without removing the top plastic first.

I also tested out the glitter paint…

All I did here was use some painters tape and painted the glitter paint on with a brush.  It was pretty fun to use, although I wish I had made these stripes a lot thinner.  I loved how thick and glittery it turned out after only one coat!

These Tulip Shimmer Iron-On Transfer and Shimmer Fabric Paints were SO fun to use!  They are nice and thick and very glamourous.  You can find them online at ilovetocreate.com.  Definitely consider them for your next project!
