WIW: Eat healthy, work out AAAAAAAANNND zilch.

Sharing is caring!

I’m gonna be honest here…I am completely uninspired right now to write this blog post.  This is the typical time when I would just skip a day and say, “eh–who’s gonna care?”  But it is WEDNESDAY and I made a commitment to write a Weight In Wednesday post every week.  I’m apparently more committed to writing this weekly post than I am to actually losing weight.

April is killin’ me.  It’s my busiest month hands down, next to December.  I have two kids’ birthdays, Easter, blog conference, best friends and sisters birthdays and for some reason everything else always piles on.  And I haven’t been feeling great.  And I’m incredibly exhausted.  So there’s the weekly excuse for not losing any weight.

Tomorrow I will fly away to SNAP! the craft blogger conference in Utah.  I’m super duper excited.  I’m so happy to see all my old friends and meet the new ones who I know through blogging.  My goal is to REMEMBER people this time.  I’m going to collect business cards like crazy and try to remember something about everyone I meet.  Are you going?  I want to meet you!!

PS.  Sorry if this post was a waste of 40 seconds.  You can’t get those back.

  1. LOL! Hilarity…I feel the SAME way right now. I trained for and ran a marathon and lost a total of, how many pounds? maybe 3….perhaps 2….bordering right on none. April is crazy busy for me too with all of the above of what you’ve said…and I feel like my efforts in weight loss are wasted. Hang in there with the busy schedule! Take ONE thing at a time, as my husband alway says, and you’ll feel alot less stressed!

I’ve heard that from long distance runners and I think it’s because your body gets really used to running so you plateau with your heart rate and stop losing weight. Plus eating is very important to weight loss too! Good luck with every thing and congrats on running a marathon!!

  2. I want my 40 sec. back! Ha, ha, ha. Kidding. I feel ya girl. My little girl is going to be one next month and I have 20 pregnancy pounds left to lose. Whoops!

Sorry Megan–you only would have wasted them anyway. 😉 Good luck with your baby weight loss!

  3. Haha, have fun at SNAP! Wish I was going too!

LOVE this post. SO very true. I just started this healthy eating program where you loose 3-5 lbs a week. It’s AMAZING the energy I feel. Ok I sound like a sales person, but seriously…it’s SO hard to drop weight when your a busy momma… I totally get it. Have a blast this weekend. Im so jealous!! HUGS!

Great job! Hope you can keep it up!

  5. Have fun at the conference! I have a hard time making healthy meals. I love anything made with butter (I especially love the Pioneer Woman’s recipes), but I have to make a commitment to planning out healthy meals and faithfully planning my meals for the week so I don’t have the option to eat less healthy stuff. As for working out, my hubby and I have been working out every night after the kids go to bed. We actually look forward to our workouts and we both have so much more energy!

Thanks Stephanie! I try to make healthy meals but most of the meals have something bad in them–it’s hard to eat chicken and salad every day.

  6. I’m going to WWs too, and I understand your frustration! I seem to lose easy in the begining, now it’s more of a struggle; some weeks I lose, some weeks I stay the same, some (hopefully!) I actually lose weight. What prompted me to go originally is that I know how and what to eat (or not eat) but I need that accountability and focus. So while you’re frustrated at the moment, I hope you stick with it! Good luck, you can do it!

Yes, I’m quickly realizing that the only way to consistently lose is to be vigilant about tracking which I have not been at all.
