Top Five Gifts to Give Guys

Sharing is caring!

Who do you think is the easiest person to shop for?  Your kids?  Your spouse?  Your Mom & Dad?  How about the hardest?  Typically I think most people would vote that the hardest person to shop for is the menfolk.  We always want to be able to give gifts that are special and meaningful to the recipient, but sometimes giving your husband another new tie just doesn’t really have that impact.  So if you have just purchased your husband or dad a new tie and are calling it good, I have to suggest a few other gifts for you…

Top Five Gifts to Give Guys

1.  The Fellowes 63Cb Document Shredder

Isn’t a shredder on everyone’s “To Buy Someday” list but when the perfect gift-giving opportunity comes by (like Christmas) you totally forget about it?  I know we’ve personally wanted a shredder for years.  I hate getting all those bills and personal mail that you don’t really need to keep but feel weird just throwing away all your personal information.  So this year, one thing I got for my husband (and me) is this hard-core NICE shredder.  We broke it open a little early since we had so much old mail to get rid of and have been having a great time shredding it all to bits.  The kids are fascinated by it.

This shredder will cut your document into 399 pieces of paper–nearly impossible to put back together.  So, um, don’t shred anything you actually NEED!  It also has a jam blocker so you don’t have to worry about clogging it up when you inevitably test it out to see if it can shred a phone book.  But it can shred staples, paperclips, and credit cards.  (Men–be sure your wife KNOWS before you shred her credit cards…)

And that brings me to another point–it can be scary to have a shredder around little kids because um, I personally don’t want shredded kiddie fingers.  But the Fellowes 63Cb shredder has a child safety around the shredder opening—if anything touches the metal part, the shredder instantly stops.  Like those cool saws that detect moisture and therefore won’t cut your finger off.  It has handy settings on it too–forwards and backwards.  That helps when you’re shredding a lot of paper at once.  You can find these on Amazon.com, OfficeDepot.com, and OfficeMax.com.

2.  Iphone Camera Lenses

Okay, these are just fun.  One of my personal photography issues is portability.  And I know my husband would never want to lug around my dSLR all around Europe just so we can take amazing photos.  But this seems like the best of both worlds!  You can just clip on your lens of choice and get some cool effects and then stuff it in your pocket after.  They also only cost $35 each!

3.  Audio Light Bulb Speakers

I know these will be in our house someday.  My husband loves all things cinematic and therefore he will want to create the most amazing TV watching experience ever.  This seems like something we would both love.  He loves speakers and me, I don’t love the look of bulky speakers strung up around the house.  This is a great way to compromise!

4.  Leather Messenger

My husband carries a lot of work stuff around–and not just your typical laptop and papers and whatnot.  He has to carry around his expensive microscope glasses as well as some other dental related supplies (what do I know?) so he spent some time searching for the perfect MAN bag this summer.  If your husband would like to upgrade from whatever he carried his stuff in now, I think a beautiful leather messenger bag would fit the bill.

5.  Iphone Photo Printer

I love my iphone camera and I know my husband takes 100% of his pictures from his iphone.   But we never print those pictures.  How convenient and easy would it be to have something like this?  This is the perfect gift for the guy who has everything because I’m sure he doesn’t have this!
