Holidays are fun but also stressful, amiright?? Crazy running around doing errands, decorating the house, mailing the Christmas cards, baking all the treats, attending school functions and parties, the list goes on and on!  I have a super simple DIY gift idea for you today that is perfect for anyone.  This bath salts gift would be a great for friends, neighbors or teachers.

Making your bath salts could not be easier and what’s awesome about making them is you know exactly what is in them and how it is helping you.  I use pure grade essential oils in my bath salts which are so great at helping your body relax and repair itself.  You also add epsom salts which contain magnesium, something your body naturally needs but doesn’t always get enough of as well as relaxes the muscles and draws out toxins. And the baking soda is great for softening your skin!

This recipe is great for pure relaxation!

  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 5 drops Peace and Calming
  • 5 drops Eucalyptus Globula
  • 3/4 Cup Epsom Salts
  • 1/8 Cup Baking Soda

Mix it all together really well and fill a half-pint jar with it.  You could make the recipe bigger and make a big batch for yourself or multiple gifts.

Print this cute sticker on white or Kraft sticker paper (it’s designed for the Avery 22807 labels) and place on top and it’s the perfect little bath salts gift!  Pretty much all of us know someone who is stressed (let’s face it, who isn’t stressed?!) Store it in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.  Use half a (half-pint) jar for a bath.

Don’t have essential oils?  Don’t just buy any old oils, be sure you’re spending your money on high quality therapeutic grade oils-believe me, a little bit goes a LONG way.  My favorite brand is Young Living.  You can get their most popular oils, a diffuser, and a free wholesale membership by purchasing their premium starter kit (it’s an awesome deal!)  Plus if you buy it from me I will send you $25 cash back, an awesome app to help you get started, plus a secret gift!  Make sure you list me as your enroller (#13510197).  Check out more details in this post.
