Rainbow Vase with Martha Stewart Glitter

Sharing is caring!

I really heart Martha Stewart Glitter.  I mean, it really is superior to other kinds of glitter.  It comes in SO many colors and is so fine that the overall effect is like a diamond sparkle.  And that is why I can’t resist doing a zillion crafts with Martha Stewart glitter.  Here’s a cute and easy vase that is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or maybe if you just like a little sparkly rainbow in your life!

Rainbow Glitter Vase

I filled this vase with gold-foil wrapped candies to represent, obviously, the gold at the end of the rainbow. But I think this would be so pretty in an ombre effect with some flowers or something else. You will probably see something similar to this again and again because as I said before, I big fat HEART Martha Stewart Glitter.

Supplies:

  • Glitter in rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
  • Glass vase (straight form, you can find these for super cheap at craft stores)
  • Spray adhesive
  • Spray poly
  • Painter’s Tape

This was basically the same method as the Glitter Striped Halloween Candles. Just tape up your stripes, spray some adhesive, then cover with glitter. This is a little more tricky to do since you have to switch colors, so you have to be careful to try and keep the glitter to just the one striped area. You can spot some areas where the colors are a little blended.  Also, when you put on your tape, make a little tab by folding over the tape onto itself.  This will make pulling off the tape a breeze.  With this tape, I actually cut it into 1/4ths to make the clear area very thin, and getting all the colors of the rainbow in.

After you’ve covered all your areas, cover the top and spray with some poly to secure the glitter. After it dries, the glitter shouldn’t come off. When it’s thoroughly dried, you can carefully remove the tape and voila! Glittered vase.

So does this inspire you to try some? Try out the Martha Stewart Glitter–I promise you will be a convert. And no, I wasn’t even paid to say all this, haha!
