Our Sponsor…Skye Reve Fabrics!!

Sharing is caring!

Natasha of Skye Reve Fabrics, is a seriously amazing woman!  She has the fabulous fabric shop that she runs in addition to designing clothing for Abercrombie & Fitch!  (Oh, p.s. she also is a wife and a mother of two kids!  Superwoman?)  She has so generously donated the prizes to the Applique Away contest so you are going to hear LOTS and LOTS of praise for her!  She has many different fabric lines in her shop by the most current fabric designers so you might wanna run to her shop to get your fabric for your next project (which better be an applique for our contest!)  Here’s a little more about Natasha…
How did you get into the Fabric business?
I had my own shop on etsy making kids clothes, but was so passionate about the fabric that I decided to start my own shop.
What excites you about selling fabric?
Knowing that it inspires others to do something creative with it.  My favorite thing to hear is that people are inspired by one of my fabrics.  I love to see what people make with the fabric.  My favorite thing about the fabric business is researching new lines. I am going to Quilt Market for the first time this October, couldnt be more excited!

Tell me about your family…

I have been married for 12 years and we have 2 little girls who are 5 and 7. Chelie is in 2nd grade and Brielle is in kindergarten.  My hubby is a high school teacher and coaches football.  He teaches psychology and sociology. He’s pretty smart. 🙂

How do you balance your work and everything else?

Good question. its not easy. i also freelance for fashion design.  At the moment I am focusing on my shop. I stay up pretty late working on my shop just about every night. Its a work in progress every day to balance it all.

What is your favorite fabric line right now?

Tanya Whelan’s Darla line is my all time favorite, which I just got in again.  I love all kinds of shabby chic lines. Fresh Cottons by Fig Tree is another favorite right now.
