Our Halloween Activities!

Our Halloween Activities this year:

  • Playgroup Halloween party with decorating cookies and costumes
  • Annual Boo Bash for my hubby’s grad school
  • Visiting the Pumpkin Patch (not recommended the morning after your three year old stayed up until 11 PM…refused to go to sleep.)
  • Church Trunk-or-Treat (that’s tonight–no pics yet!)

The Pregnant Skeleton Halloween Costume

So everyone always wants to know the classic Halloween question…”What are you going to be for Halloween?”

When you’re nine months pregnant, there are not a lot of options.  At least ones that don’t insinuate getting knocked up.  So I copied Ashley’s Pregnant Halloween Costume idea from last year…

A Family of Skeletons

And everyone else in my family followed suit.  We bought skeleton pajamas at Walmart for like $7 each and my hubby made his (so proud of him–his first freezer paper stenciling…sniff!)  and of course I made mine, exactly like Ashley did in her tutorial.  The trickiest part was getting it done in time–we procrastinated like crazy!  And of course it was too crazy to actually get a sane picture of us all together.  Trust me, we looked good.

I know, I wasn’t Mrs. Super-Crafty and made my kids halloween costumes.  But I had a lot of other projects going on and just didn’t feel like it.  Plus I am still my Super Practical Mother’s Daughter and like the idea of the costumes getting use other than the one time.  So my kids have worn their skeleton pajamas (did I mention they Glow-in-the-Dark?  So fun) to bed several times this month and probably will keep wearing them for awhile.

So Halloween is basically done…

…let the holiday craziness begin!

Have a fun and safe Halloween!!
