Halloween Decoration Ideas

Sharing is caring!

This week has been super busy trying to get everything ready for my Halloween party so I know my blog has been a little bare. But I just wanted to show you really quick some of my Halloween displays this year.  Hope you get some halloween decorations ideas!

Here’s the front console display (what you see when you first walk in my house.) The haunted house we bought at a little boutique in Mesa 4 years ago.  The box it’s sitting on is a thrift store score.  The bones in the vase are just plastic glow in the dark bones.  The Trick or Treat sign my MIL gave me.  The weathered gate is just a standard decor feature (here’s the vasoline distressing tutorial.)  I got the ‘spooky tree’ at Walmart and made the autumn leaves on it.  The witch hat is from last year’s framed witch hats tutorial, the spider plate and raven are from Home Goods.  And I made that fall foliage arrangement from silk flowers.  I’ve since added my glittery orange skull since I took this picture. I love that thing–got it from World Market.

Here’s the dining room table. The stacked jackolanterns are from a grocery store and I glitter blasted them.  The gold pumpkin is from Hobby Lobby.  The little silver pumpkins I spray painted (foam dollar pumpkins).  The candlestick is a family heirloom from my Grandma.  And I made the table runner.

And here’s a little living room display. You might remember this picture…from the Glittered Candle Tutorial. I also made the feather wreath but that was long ago, before blogging. Basically I just shoved black feathers into a straw wreath form.  The pitcher in the back is from IKEA and it has silk fall foliage in it.  I also made the candleholders from thrifted candlestick holders and coasters.

And here’s the dining room/kitchen area. See the tutorial for the BEWARE banner and salt dough Garland.

That’s my Halloween decor! I think it came together nicely. It’s fun to add new things each year and use them in different ways. Last year I had some fun Ghastly Pillows and a Ghastly slipcover but this year I didn’t get them out…I had a different more black and white feel last year and this year it’s more about glitter and color.
